This four-week course focuses weekly on a different area of your home. For the kitchen, bedroom, play area, and beyond, you will learn concepts about allowing freedom within limits and fostering independence.

  • Workbooks: One for each area of your home giving information about the aims in creating your space.
  • Lesson examples: Each week you will receive four new lessons that you can show your child. You will also get a video demonstrating how to show your child each lesson.
  • Curated online shopping lists: Links to materials needed to give each lesson shown.
  • Private Facebook group: Connect with other caregivers in the course and share ways you are implementing the course ideas. I will be available answer questions throughout the four-week course duration and for two weeks after.

The information you gain during this course will empower you to transform your child's space. The end result: a more peaceful environment for your family and an engaged child who interacts joyously and independently with their environment.

The course is completely self-led.

Hi! I’m Katie Padiak.

I am a parent of a 3-year-old, a certified Montessori guide, and a consultant. I taught in the classroom for 10 years and I now help families implement Montessori principles in their homes.

I hear often from parents who struggle with children to get out the door for school or wind down at bedtime. I have endless tips for how to change your routine to help your child find a sense of control and independence while also getting tasks accomplished.

This course is for you if you:

  • Are struggling with ways to keep your child engaged
  • Find your child is overwhelmed in your space
  • Don't know where to start when choosing toys and activities for your child
  • Struggle to implement new things in your child's environment
  • Don't know what Montessori-inspired items to buy for your child
  • Want to provide a Montessori environment at home
